Aluminium Dibond - Direct Prints of your images and photos produced by The Digital Room, are our entry level Aluminium Print.
Your image is printed directly onto a specially coated 3mm thick rigid composite aluminium panel using our state of the art 7 ink UV cured flatbed printers.
The prints have a matte finish with a slight satin sheen on the lighter parts of the image. The inks used in the print process are UV cured to produce vivid colours and clarity mixed with excellent durability, that will last up to 75 years.
These robust and light-weight prints are ideal for home, office or gallery use, including kitchens and bathrooms and even sheltered outdoor situations.
As the image is directly printed onto the substrate, it is protected against dust, scratches, sunlight and is waterproof.
The 3mm thickness of the aluminium panels together with the hidden fixings gives thes print the appearence that they just floating on your wall.

Waterproof & Resistant to Temperature Fluctuation
Because there are no paper based elements used in the production of these prints, they are not affected by water or temperature changes, this makes them ideal for use in bathrooms, kitchens and sheltered outdoor spaces.
The UV cured inks also stop sunlight from fading the image over time.
Aluminium Dibond - Direct Print Hanging Options
When you have your photo printed on Aluminium Dibond - Direct Print, it is supplied with one of The Digital Room's hanging kits. We use three types:
- For smaller prints we add mirror plate fixing to the back of the print together with rubber bumpers, this holds the print close to the wall with a 5mm shadow gap.
- For medium prints we use parallel aluminium bars, these hold the print close to the wall with a 10mm shadow gap.
- For larger prints we use an aluminium subframe, as above this adds a 10mm shadow gap behind the print.

Our fixings require a screw to be fixed to your wall to hold the print. As our larger prints are quite heavy, it is important to use the correct style of fixing fo the type of wall that you wish to hang the print on.
We recomend consulting a qualified tradesman if you are unsure how to fix the print to the wall.

Your image printed on Aluminium Dibond - Direct Prints are available in a number of formats and sizes. You can choose from Landscape, Portrait, Panoramic and Sqaure formats.

Print Quality Rating
At the Digital Room, we use a print quality rating system. We test the size of your uploaded image to see how well it will print at the size you would like.
- 5 Star - The Print quality will be great for the size you have chosen.
- 4 star - The Print quality will be fine for the size you have chosen.
- 3 star - The Print quality will be ok for the size you have chosen.
- 2 star - The Print quality could be better for the size you have chosen.
- 1 star - The Print quality will be poor for the size you have chosen.
However, this is only a guide, as it works only on the size of the image. Some images such as black and white, have a small image size, because there is no colour information which would increase the size.
if your image is 'in colour' and the file size is still small, it means the resolution of the image will be fairly low, but, we can do some amazing things with low resolution images.

All the images we print are checked for print quality by our graphic artists, if there is an issue or the print quality is not good enough, we will contact you to suggest other options.
